Ways to Support Horizons Residential Care Center
Our Residents
We take pride in the quality of service that we provide each and every resident under our care. Our residents come from several counties in North Carolina. They live with multiple disorders such as severe intellectual disabilities, cerebral palsy, seizure disorders, blindness, and autism just to name a few. Residents are referred to Horizons by physicians, schools, or other community agencies. Currently, we are considered “home” to 40 children and adults in our community.
Volunteer Opportunities
There are several opportunities for individuals or groups to make a difference in the lives of the residents that we serve. Below are a few ways to support our mission:
· Help a resident celebrate important events such as birthdays, Christmas, or other occasions.
· Help with landscaping projects
· Provide personal needs such as small radios, small TVs, or room decorations ( a list of current needs may be requested)
· Provide funds to support corrective, supportive, or medical equipment
· Accompany a child on a community outing such as bowling, movies, or trips to the park.
If you or a group is interested in supporting the residents of Horizons Residential Care Center please contact Jane Price at 336-767-2411 or janep@horizonscenter.org
