As a non-profit charitable organization, Horizons receives the majority of its funding on a fee for service basis from Medicaid. This reimbursement meets the basic needs of our residents. However, many expenses cannot be met with Medicaid dollars, and we are dependent on donors to support our efforts to provide the highest quality service possible. Donations and grants help provide much needed items including new specialized bathtubs for our residents, new wheelchair equipped vans for transporting our clients, new medical equipment to help ensure the continued medical care of residents, and new kitchen equipment which enables us to continue to provide safe and healthy meals to our residents.
