Employment Opportunities

Horizons has a variety of employment opportunities. A brief description of each department and its responsibilities follows. Applications are taken between 8:30 am and 4:00 pm, Monday – Friday for open positions. Employment candidates must go through drug screening, physical, criminal background and reference checks. Horizons is an equal opportunity employer.

Program

The Program Department is made up of various positions that provide direct person care services for our clients. The various positions, including Habilitation Technicians, Special Education Teachers, Education Aides, Qualified Mental Retardation Professionals, Group Home Manager, Quality Assurance Coordinator, Physical Development Coordinator and Administrative Support are responsible for the day-to-day care of our clients.

Administration

This department encompasses a variety of aspects including Human Resources, Finance and Executive functions. This department is responsible for the financial well-being as well consistency and fairness in business and employment practices.

Support Services

The Support Services department encompasses a combination of maintenance, dietary and housekeeping services. This department is responsible for maintaining the upkeep of buildings including client rooms and common areas as well as providing proper nutrition as required for each client.

Nursing

The Nursing department is responsible for the 24-hour health care of our clients. It is made up of RN’s, LPN’s, Medical Team Assistant and Director of Nursing.
