Mission:
Horizons
Residential Care Center is a private not-for-profit organzation which
provides, with utmost dignity and respect, compassionate care and quality
services appropriate to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities
and their families. |
| Horizons
was started in May, 1973 to meet an unmet need in our community
- provide services to severely disabled children and adults who need specialized
residential treatment and care year round. |
The
Atrium 30 Bed Children's Residence / Arches 10 Bed Adult Residence
-
Facility serves persons between the ages of birth
and twenty-one years of age.
-
Able to serve persons with more debilitating medical
needs due to 24-hour on-site nursing coverage.
-
The Arches is home to residents ages 18 years or
older.
-
Both are licensed by the NC Department of Human
Resources, Division of Health Service Regulations as: Specialized
Community Residential Center - ICF/MR.

Alspaugh Respite Care Center
-
Primarily a family or parent support service providing
temporary relief or assistance in the care of their family member
who is mentally retarded or otherwise developmentally disabled.
