This year’s Putting “Fore” Horizons event was a great success!

This year’s Putting “Fore Horizons event had something for EVERYONE. We added an online silent auction this year which was a great way for everyone who loves Horizons to help us reach our fundraising goals and get a great deal on some wonderful items and experiences at the same time! It did not require that you attend the event in person so that way, more people could participate in the effort even if they live far away or were out of town for the weekend! We had everything from plane rides and train rides, salt caves and kids’ faves to art and jewelry, and of course baskets of all sorts!
In addition to the silent auction, we held our in-person event at the Bridger Field House at the Allegacy Stadium. It was a great venue. There we held our mini golf competition, a live auction, a fund-a-need apeal and of course we played our heads and tails game which is always so much fun. We also heard from Dr. Frank Moyer, who gave a very moving account of his experience of Horizons over the years that his daughter Emily has lived here.
We were very lucky to have a great team of volunteers from the Reynolds Girls Club, who helped us set up, run the event and clean up afterwards. We appreciate this years sponsors, those indiviuals and businesses who donated items for our auctions or to be used as prizes and to all those who attended and made it such a fun evening that helps our residents live better lives!
